Domain Name Policy
Factor of 4 offers domain name registration to its clients. We resell services from OpenSRS, the wholesale unit of Tucows Inc.
When you register a domain name, you do not own that name in the traditional sense, rather you hold the name for a specific term (typically one or more years) and subject to many legal conditions. This is true regardless of which domain name provider you choose.
When you register a domain name with Factor of 4, you must agree to the terms of the Tucows Registration Agreement.
The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) oversees all domain name registrars. ICANN publishes a document for domain registrants: Registrant Rights and Responsibilities Under the 2009 Registrar Accreditation Agreement.
